Shubarkol Premium Sets a New Production Record

A new historic record for Shubarkol Premium.

One of our most interesting shared investments, coal company Shubarkol Premium, has achieved a new, significant record this summer. In July 2025, we transported over 416,000 tons of mineral by railway using the infrastructure of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), the outstanding national railway company of Kazakhstan.

For us, this is a historical figure.

In just the first seven months of the year, we have shipped a total of 1.3 million tons of coal from the Kyzylzhar station and the Shubarkol station.

Shubarkol Premium works in and operates the Shubarkol coal deposit (Central-2 Site) in the Karaganda region of Central Kazakhstan, and has been doing an amazing job for a decade. We supply coal to the domestic Kazakh market, to neighboring countries, and other markets.

Shubarkol Premium is truly a world leader in the coal industry, and we expect to produce 5.5 million tons of coal by 2027. Wait and see.
