“Build Your Business” competition

Shoutout to all those who took part in our "Build Your Business" competition over the years.

There are endeavors I have built over the years that have made me proud and that have become part of my own personal mission. For me, one of those projects is "Build Your Business".

This initiative was led by my wife, Aselle Tasmagambetova, with the active involvement of my friend Vyacheslav Kim and my financial support.

For years, we organized a country-wide competition to give young entrepreneurs a real opportunity. We selected cutting-edge projects led by them and awarded non-repayable grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 to help them launch and grow their businesses.

Over ten years, more than 5,350 applications were reviewed, and 80 projects received support totaling $2.24 million. Strong partners joined this initiative, including Ernst & Young, Microsoft, Forbes Kazakhstan, and UN Women in Kazakhstan.

In 2024, this journey continued with the launch of BYB Capital—a venture fund focused on early-stage startups and projects with strong potential.

Investing in future generations is one of the best investments Kazakhstan as a country can make. And we are proud of our contribution to that future.
